About us
Baltic Distribution Ltd
Baltic Wharf was established for military purposes during the 2nd World War. Subsequently it was developed as a timber wharf, which it remains to this day. Situated on the River Crouch, it can handle vessels up to 5.5 metres draft, and handles around 9 vessels per month.
The site covers 46 acres, and has a large area of shed space available, for perishable commodities. Products handled include softwood, fencing, birch, pallet wood, panel products, & steel. A treatment plant using Tanalith E is located on site, and can treat both brown and green. There is also a small sawmill, offering sawing and planning facilities.
A recent development has been the manufacture of fencing panels on site for Wayland Timber, which is also part of the Continental Wood Products group. This together with imported panels and other fencing items, provides a unique distribution service for both softwood and fencing products, Waller Transport offer an in house haulage service, for delivery throughout the UK, for CWP and third party cargoes.
